I had been experiencing problems switching my vehicle from Petrol to CNG and recently this problem got worst so I figured out that?s it?s a bad solenoid valve. I went to CNG mechanic asking him to replace the solenoid valve but after testing the vehicle, he was easily able to remove the low pressure solenoid valve. It was dirty and with little cleaning, it started to work flawlessly. Vehicle was able to convert to CNG while idling.
I was surprised, that this little equipment is responsible for smooth conversion to CNG and many of us won?t be aware of this as I am not able to find anything with keyword ?Solenoid? on Pakwheels. Most common problem with solenoid valves are that it gets dirty with time and needs some cleaning.
Has anyone tried cleaning solenoid valve on injectors based CNG kit like Liana. I have taken the vehicle multiple times to Suzuki workshop where never ever anyone has touched the solenoid valve and agony to the situation is that they had never been able to fix the problem of poor idling on CNG where as soon as it leaves the work shop, car starts to behave the way it was behaving earlier. This is guess, that cleaning the solenoid may solve the problem. I understand that injector based cng kit requires remapping or calibration through computer but there has to be a reason why this calibration has gone out on first place. Maybe cleaning Reducers along with this may solve many issues. Kindly comment
