As far as i have experienced and know, the woofer alone does not determine the performance. The box plays a big role. When i was about to get a sub everybody recommended pioneer and bashed sony xplod. So when i went to buy it, the shopkeeper showed me the pioneer sub. Then out of curiosity i asked him to show me the sony sub too. I noticed that sony,s build quality was better than the pioneer. So i went for the sony and built a ported box for it according to specs and painted the inside of the box for smooth air flow although mostly people put polyester inside the box but i researched and found out that paint would be better for a ported box. And when i used and compared it to other typical kenwood and pioneer subs in buddy's rides, mine was louder and produced non distorted bass at high volumes. I have been using the sony sub for 2 years now and it is working fine.
About The woofers you posted above, According to the specs i think sony is better as it has better sensitivity. But the final decision should be yours. Please do build a box according to the owners manual.
