Faulty Meter dude:
That must have been a faulty speedometer. The most accurate way to register velocity is by using GPS speedometer. If you have a smart phone and a GPRS connection you can test the "real" top speed of your bike with an GPS speedo app. Stock CG classic can never touch 130km/hr. I had a CG-125 point model, It maxed at 95km/hr. These 125cc cg series engines(OHV) hav good acceleration but they will never match the top end horse power of a more advance OHC engine which you will find in GS and GD series of suzuki.
If a CG 125 cant touch 130km/hr mark........how can a stock super power 100 be soo quick.
CG-125 worth Rs.200,000/-
A friend of mine had a highly altered CG-125....... he bought it brand new and then spent another 100k to make his CG faster. That is the fastest CG I had ever ridden. He told me he checked the top speed of that CG by running it along a car and used the Car speedo to ensure the top speed of the bike. After spending months tuning and fine tuning the engine and spending more than the cost of a new bike itself......he managed 130km/hr. I highly highly doubt a stock SP100 or even YD125 can achieve such feat in stock condition.
Rumor:
Its a rumor and I have to check it personally but I have been told by a die hard GS150 fan that the new GD-110 is faster than CG-125. I'm a little skeptical about it however theoretically its possible.
