Hey everyone.
Its that time of the year again where i'm planning a trip to, well, somewhere north which is yet to be finalized. I went to Naran and trekked to Saif ul Malook in November last year after some help from fellow pakwheelers.
Here are some of the details + pictures from last year's trip: https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/road-trips-vacations/203826-naran-saif-ul-malook-trip-november-pictures#post3607925
Now this year we 5 friends have a few destinations in mind but not too sure about the on ground situation, so i'd be grateful if you can answer some of my questions. we're planning our 6 day trip for next week
Our initial plan was for fairy meadows. Some questions:
1. How to reach fairy meadows via public transport from lahore?
2. I guess we need to stop in Chilas enroute to Fairy meadows. Some of my friends are not too confident about the security situation in Chilas, so could you please advise if its possible / safe to go to Chilas at this time?
3. How is the security situation on KKH
Another possible destination is Chitral - Kalash.
1. How to reach chitral via public transport? (I think Deawoo goes till Swat, from there we can get some public transport onwards)
If it were you, which one would you choose? fairy meadows or chitral? or is there any other nice place up north accessible by public transport.
ps: basically we're looking for an adventure trip. love trekking, camping n all. so if theres any nice treks to lakes, please advise! (some pics from last year's trip attached)
update:
we'll be going to the good ol' dudipatsar and saral lake, inshAllah. any suggestion would be appreciated.
could someone please tell which route would be better.
naran > jhalkad > saral > dudipatsar > mulla ki basti > besal > naran
OR
