AOA brothers I used to be a regular user of this site a year back but then life became very hectic and I have not visted this site so much.
However, it's good to see this site still doing good and staying as a community as it always was.
I've got an urgent matter and need your brotherly advise what I should do so please help me out sincerely as I am quite worried and upset about this matter.
Last year I purchased a 2011 model corolla which was 50,000 KM used for around 14 lakh. With no knowledge that it would cause me any trouble an no such indication from the registration agent, I got it registered under my name.
Now I have received a notice from FBR with a NTN registration form, showing my income and pay income tax. However, in reality I am currently an ACCA student and not salaried. I saved up some money by doing web-designing on a few forums but the major portion was contributed by my grand-father who is a UK citizen and lives there. Some of the money he gave was in form of cheques of local bank and some was sent through a money exchanger and the rest he gave me cash when he was visiting us.
I'm sure many of you guys have experienced this issue as well, so kindly advise me the proper way to handle this issue.
I am honestly a student and not salaried at all. Should I contact a Tax Accountant/Consultant or a Lawyer???
