gud info, but cool water is dangerous for hot engine
A guy on service station suggest me yesterday that just use oil after service for boot ends & shocks just. Washed my car's bottom with diesel spray and cloth. cleaned the all lower portion and it looks like metallic which always look like made of dirt and oil. He used the term 'MAANDI' for this way of cleaning the lower portion of car with diesel and simple cloth. whatever it is, it is very useful to get the car clean.
WD-40 is batter option
Dear its not Maandi, Its called Manjaai.........means cleaning with rubbing,
ohhhh yes yes. u r right Ishtiaq!!! Infact I was confusing this term. its Manjaai....I used to do it first time with the car, that's y telling that its result is amazing... thanks for the correction...
Thanx dear.........but who care about it..........when ever some one go to service station, who waits for engine to be cold for washing.and engine is usually washed at the end after 30 to 40 min........than engine is usually cold enough to wash.....but engine cleaning with high pressure is not advised......... i ask the service man to clean the engine bay with wet cloth...
Thanx dear, u are generous enough to be corrected
There are varying opinions about this. I've stopped those oil and diesel sprays. The car is also painted under the body. Diesels and oils erase that paint too quickly, making the vehicle susceptible to catching rust.
And that "Manjaai" lol. You make sure an early trip to denter for fixing rusted pieces on vehicle floor.
Dear, manjaai is done just to remove, oily, grease like matter, its done by diesel or kerosine oil soaked rag. Not with sand paper or steel wool type thing..........its just to remove such derbies which is not removed by water.
Oil and diesel deteriorate rubber bushes.
why do u need to wash the underbody..maybe once a year..theres no salt on the roads..as soon as u drive of the dust sticks to the oil..and its the best way to get dirt into all them places were u cant see..rubber..ur reducing its life by half...when ur spraying it on ur also causing a hazard on the road.. when oil drips of onto tarmac... my dad use to do it all the time..he only gave up because .. id argue with the garage guy..
