guys plz help me regarding my cultus carby 88k odo which rpm keeps fluctuating and car jerks a lot even on petrol i got the idle rpm set at 1000 bt still it moves to 2-2500k esp in morning when the auto choke does not disengage itself i have to push the throttle twice , thrice and on regular driving at neutral (A)sumtimes falls to 700 i asked my mech he says carb's buttefly clip's bushings have gone loose they need replacment and to add the car does 45 km usually in 8 litres in a weeks local drive the car does not have a thermostat valve installed w/ auto fan helpppp:confused::S the fluctuation problem was to a certain extent on cng too bt as there has been no cng from last year dont remember how the car performed on cng bt generally the drive is kind a heavy i"ve cleaned the air flter and spark plugs dont show any oil
u know ur cars problems and solutions to some extenty r u not getting it fixed?butterfly fixed, timing set, carb service, tappet adj, thermo valve back, fan on auto, plugs filters etccar should idle at 800 rpm
unstable idle=high float level or butterfly replacementget your carb overhauled
aoa but i am unsure about the auto choke problem that why is not disengaging itself even wen the engine has warmed up i.e the temp needle reaches at almost middle of the guage bt still it disengages wen i rev the throttle two to three times and arent the tappets unadjustable on cultus carby version plus wat do we call them in local language so that i can relate this to my mechanic
so u mean i need a fullon carb overhaul and changing those bushings wont help and kindly tell me wat would this overhaul include
it just includes cleaning by opening bolt by bolt.if butterfly is damaged aka cutte hoe then you will need to replace the throttle plate.butterflies are also repairable by lathe workers
that could be because your butterfly linkages need cleaning and/or butterfly needs to replaced as well
butterfly repairing and carburator cleaning will do the trick
