Salam everyone. I have this weird question/query to ask of you guys.
"Are CNG stations with two pipes in the machine a fraud or is there an issue with my car?
I'll explain a little so you get the idea behind the question.
I got CNG filled from Jinnah Super Shell. From empty cylinder to full for Rs.640 at pressure of 160 with the gas machine having dual pipes connected to the nozzle. Now I usually open the bonnet to check that the CNG pressure gauge goes to the mid-point [this is the point where tanks is full at 200 pressure]. However yesterday I didnt do this at the pump but did it at home. I saw that the gauge needle was at a point which usually is for gas @ Rs.400~ and way below the mid-point!
I then went early morning and got gas filled for Rs.300 so that the needle reaches mid-point. The pressure this time was 200 bar and the gas machine had a single pipe connected to the nozzle.
I didnt confront the Shell people as I wasnt sure if this issue was with my car or them.
Note that this happened once a few months ago. The gas machine filled gas upto Rs.850 which translates to more than 10kg! This is more than the cylinder's capacity itself.
So why did the Shell machine not stop at Rs.400 or Rs.450. How come it went upto Rs.640 when gas came only for Rs.400~ ? Any ideas?
Also the car was missing alot with that gas. Does it mean empty air was pumped in as well and I paid for it?
Gas per kg. Rs.75
Car: LIANA 1.3 (with no issues, so don't start with that)
