I have used Ptcl Evo 3.1
Ptcl Evo Nitro Wi-Fi 9.3mbps
And a broadband connection starting from 1mb student to 6mb which is active right now..
Nitro was the best among all of them, my usual Speed was around 800kbps where I live and it use to suck at my university place (UCP, LHR) and the max I got from it constant for two days was 1.5mb/sec near morgah rawalpindi... (Speed use to fluctuate but Avrg was around 1.5)
As we all know mobile Speed depends on a lot of factors including BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Ariel distance from tower
2. No of active & passive users
3. Weather conditions (yup a thunderstorm or rain has a large effect of signals)
But as a few has mentioned above a mobile connection can never be a substitute of a wired connection which has lesser ping and a constant connection.
While you can get awesome speeds on wingle or nitro but move your modem a few times (specially if it's connected with the laptop) and you'll lose your 3G, try streaming a video or torrent download and you download speed will fluctuate. Play an online game and you'll feel the frames missing and connection issues although on the status bar your ping will not fluctuate much...
Basically mobile connections have much more Jitter than wired connections which kills all the fun....
Right now I'm on PTCL broadband 6mb and no matter what the time is peak, off peak, eid ya shabrat or hamsaeyuun ka walima...
I'll get a constant 600/650kbps Speed and 50ms of ping with local server.
This is the real fun
