My apologies for the very delayed response, Rizwan sb. I just saw your message. Answer's to your questions are as follows: Inshahallah you take travel there with your children on any weekend.
1- Is it safe to travel on Makran Coastal Highway? - Yes, totally safe. Coast guards are at every checkpost, along with Naval Intelligence personnel, since the Makran Coastal Highway leads to Ormara where the Jinnah Naval Base is located (Hingol is much closer to Karachi than Ormara).
2- Is it OK to take my sons (19 years & 14 years) with me? - Yes, totally safe.
3- Is there any place to stay or is it ok to spend night in a tent? - I always stay at the naval guest house at JNB. Sorry, I won't be able to answer this question.
4- Can I go there on my 2007 Coure? - Yes, sir!
5- How many KM from Karachi to Hinglaj? - Chief, there is some confusion here. Hanglaj Mandir is close to Khuzdar, and the Makran Coastal Highway does not go there. For that you will need to take the RCD Highway, which is approx. 325 km from Karachi. But on your post, you have also mentioned Hingol, so I'm guessing you are referring to the Hingol National Park? The Makran Coastal Highway will lead to the park, which is approx. 240 km from Karachi.
6- How much time it will take to reach there? Hingol - approx. 2.5 hours. Hanglaj - approx. 4 hours. This is in Wadh.
7- What time is better to start our journey? 8 AM, or anytime during the morning whenever you feel comfortable.
Any other advice if any... Hingol would be safer to go, than Hanglaj, for non-Baloch non-Pashtun travellers. Make sure to carry your ID card as coast guards at every checkpost will stop to check.
Please advise which of the two places are you planning on going. based on that, we can discuss further.
