I have Hancock maintenence free battery and its terminal posts are too thin for good quality terminals, is there any way to make it fit? I am attaching a picture of the battery terminal which I have to install.
Salaam.
You can improvise or make a jugar by placing a piece of metal in between but that is not adviseable. Try to get different terminals or a different battery. By the way where did you buy these terminals from?
I bought it from Haroon Radio. Since I am using 2 Guage for alternator to battery and my current terminal is all messed up with lot of wires (amplifier etc) and my battery is all good right now so all I am left with is to put some metal between terminal and post. How about winding copper wire on the post?
Yeah, in that case that is the best option and do only try to use copper.
Dear, Take your battery to battery repairing shop, ask him to make the poles of battery with molten lead, this is the proper solution.if u place metal piece or wrap a wire around the pole, it will loose very soon.
Post the pic of battery pole and terminal, take terminal out from packing
go in battery repair shop, with battery n terminal, n say make it thick, they melt something like "SIKA" in coat on battery, n thats the proper way, cost around 50-100 rs 10 mints work
Here u go, see how thin it is..
no issue,,, do as harib4u sugessted
Thanks alot both of you.
