In Addition to above. I have had Mehran, Bolan then 92 accord (Rarely seen in Pakistan AKA CB7) and now have 7th Generation Accord CL7.
If Mehran are not premium build cars, their parts are available for cheap, tend to last a lot less, due to purchasing ability and usage requirement people buy cheap to maintain cars. Dealers want money in so they keep items of Good sale value with good frequency.
Accords how ever are different class. They are not made to have cheaper parts but long lasting ones. Their parts are expensive but are of good quality. When i bought CL7 , as per my 92 accord experience I preferred to find a NON MESSED car. which is OEM Electrically and Manually.
Accords are improving the demand as CF3 Civic, Reborn and CL7 have very similar fuel consumption market accepts accords too. I bought two accords in very good condition below 1.2 Million. That is cheaper than Reborn. Parts however are little expensive due to less availability than Reborn.
That was my view. However people still listen to nearbys or mechanics. Until or unless you dont experience one you wont go for one. Sportage is also a good car, Spectra was a DOHC aggressive car. Apart from the BIG-3 Controversy JDM had acquired their market and now it is getting nasty as almost all are damaged repaired and they are loosing their market as well
