What are the prospects of converting a Pajero V6 petrol 2004 model to CNG?
Any reputed workshops in Lahore, which have carried out such conversions?
Any first hand experiences?
Please help. This question is on behalf of a friend.
Thanks

Anyone!
Not suitable for 2004 V6.
@c123pk
Are there any technicals reasons?
I recommend to Sell this thing and buy a Liana F/F CNG, or, If need Mitsubishi, Lancer F/F CNG is Best for your friend, I love it.
Wrong Gas Settings will Result in early Over-Hauling of Engine. You can run a V8 on CNG, but the point is why buy a V8 or V6 when you Need to run on CNG ? Wrong Installation MAY result in burning car's Computer. Drilling and Cutting steel of a 2004 V6 will be very bad for you and your friend's heart. For a V6, you ll need two(2) 60 Liter Cylinders to get a 100 kms on a refill while driving in city with AC ON. Bro how can you replace a Pajero with Liana????
What if he needs to travel off road and needs the power and capabilities of a comfortable SUV?.............What if at the same time he needs to cut his fuel expenses in half..........
Ok then Convert it to CNG, Remember while Offroading or going to your fields you ll need a CNG Station in that vicinity, or go for atleast 4 CNG Cylinders.
The good thing about CNG is that, with the push of a button, you can convert it back to petrol. So drive on CNG as far as you can, and switch when you can't.
nice info..... 100o/o agreed with ur coments.
A much more viable solution would be to either sell and trade for a Intercooled Diesel Turbo Pajero ... or swap the engine with a Diesel one.
CNG would be a very big fuss with a V6. Its possible but the diesel convertion would be much suitable.
I strongly recommend converitng or trading for an intercooled turbo diesel.
@ all Thanks for input.
Looks that this would not be suitable.
But I read somewhere on these forums that some people have converted Prado and Land Cruisers to CNG. Anybody seen such conversion?
Lexus LX-470...LS-400 and Land Cruiser & Surf are running fine on CNG then why wont a Pajero V-6 run on CNG. It will run prefectly fine just dont go to any common CNG mechanic....Go to some proper place and get it converted.
burn them CNG kits. Diesel RULZ
go for mehran.......or people wud say u this........(no offence meant)
I didn't check your post before......... the setup u r talking about, i have seen that in a prado i think it had a 3.5 litre engine don't know whether it was 4 or 6 cylinders..... The conversion was done by shan cng here in rawalpindi, near islamabad highway......... it had some 3 cylinders and more then one advancer and emulator stuff......... if u want i can get the email of the owner of that cng station ......
