Race is about who's the fastest but the Paris China race is all about the litmus test of the new generation E-Klasse. Its about the endurance of 33 cars and drivers on hand. Tough enough, you often don't know whats around the corner.
The event will cover 13,600 km in five stages, starting October 21st 2006 and after crossing nine countries, will end on 17 November 2006 in Beijing.
More than 300 drivers in total will be experiencing the tough 28 days to participate in the Beijing Motor Show, the biggest in China on 17th Novemeber 2006. The drivers include customers, fans, celebrities from various countries and participant who have applied through internet. The groups will exchange seat at end of each stage.
Its taking place to mark the first transcontinental car race in the history that travelled the opposite way from Beijing to Paris and was won by Prince Scipione Borghese. 62 days of intense driving without navigation or proper road maps, let alone roads.
