Dear all,Recently i bought a Japanese Vitz 2014, but i'm not sure that it have air bags. The steering wheel and passenger dashboard having SRS Airbags logo. But you all know that our local importers normally import accidented cars. So may be they repaired the car but didn't put the air bags again. So kindly guide me how to check that my car is accidented or not and it have intact air bags.
Thanks.
aqeel, even i dont know how to figure out if the air bags are present or not, before it can be hit.
haha, true match stick. to find a reaction you need to act.
Regards
Anyone, who know about it
You will have SRS Airbag error light turned on in dashboard if they are missing. Furthermore, you can send me your Chassis No. Usually on left door jamp. Send that to me here via Personal Message and I will check it if the car came through Auction house, I will send you the auction sheet to confirm the status in which it came from Japan.
In dashboard SRS Airbag light does not show. Even it doesn't turned on on car startup.I send Chassis No via personal message. hope u will help meThank you.
just open our vitz stearing cover. it shows you the air bag abailabale or not
Airbag would definately be lying there physicaly i reckon. The problem comes with their activation i.e. if the car is accidented.

Bro, i have used JDM cars, and while searching for cars when i buy them , i can see a lot of cars repaired, and now i can almost 80-90% tell by seeing the airbags etc. if they are repaired or not.
The first thing and authentic way to check is by a Valid auction sheet. (let mashriqain bro check it for you)
secondly if you are in Isb, then i can see your car to check if it has airbags or not.
I can tell you few things to check by which you can have an idea of airbags present or not.
Get it scanned through official toyota scan tool and there you will know about the current status of the airbags.
Can i have your contact details as i have 2012 vitz and have some issues which i really need to discuss and get some guidance
