Hi,
I just bought a new car from a dealership and they offered to get the registration done for me, for a fee of course, and I went for it.
Now that I've got my car registration file from the Excise & Taxation Department, my NAME is spelt incorrectly and the house address has an error too.
The CNIC number and other details are correct.
Now the dealership is telling me that they can't get the details corrected on the registration book since the Excise &
Taxation department can't reprint it.
They tell me that the Excise & Taxation department has corrected the details on their computers but when I check the error still exists.
The dealership did inform me that I'll get a receipt, with the corrected details, from the Excise & Taxation department when I pay the taxes next time round.
What should I do? Is it true what they're telling me? How does it affect my car in terms of resale value?
The error: Muhammd Imran instead of Muhammad Imran
Thank you in advance for your help
