[QUOTE=rizwanhaider16;5229218]Dear Fellows!
I am thinking to buy some used Civic, probably 2011 or later. I also have the option of buying a new Corolla GLI, just because it would be new and free of maintenance charges for a good 3-4 years while with Civic, you will start spending on it straight away as it would be used and also, the maintenance is costly as compared to Corolla.
This is where I get confused, as to what and how exactly it is costly, please help me in taking a decision.
Don't compare Civic parts with Corolla parts, compare with Altis parts. Altis parts are more expensive as compared to Corolla parts. Just compare prices of windscreen from 3S dealership, and you will get an idea. However, if you buy replaceable parts, e.g. oil filter, air filter, brake pads, etc from the market, then you save lot of money. e.g. 3S sells air filter for 1850. Imported filters Thailand made are available in Gawalmandi for 600-700. At petrol pump same thing is available for 900. Best to buy a car which is in good condition, and all you need to do is change fluids, filters, etc.
