Need Fix: Why Radiator Fan does now starts at higher temperature
I remember, my corolla 2007 radiator fan used to kick inn at 85C and now what is the reason that it now kicks inn at 98C. Many suggest that my coolant temperature sensor is faulty, if that?s true then why is this giving me a linear reading (shows rising from 15C to 98C using OBD kit) which does not seems to be in conflict like ECU controls as when fan should kick in and if its giving an increase from 15C to 98C then it means that problem is not with coolant temperature sensor and ECU should have commanded automatic fan to start at 85C but it did not. Fault on coolant temperature sensor does not makes any sense. At 98C, car frequently shuts down and that happens on traffic jams.
Kindly suggest as what can be an issue and how should I resolve it.
P.S: radiator Coolant is in top notch condition.
