"oodbalow" i took my car to dealership and told them to install 14" tyres stock yokohama and check whether it produces noise or not. They installed the tyres and even then it shocks were producing noise. Then i said now its proven that problem is not with the tyres but is with ur manufactured suspension but in reply to that they said, no, in the beginning when u installed 205/55/15 it demaged the shock and now it is even producing noise even with stock yokohama. This is absurd. right?
"shqasmi" Dealership told me, if u install different tyres ur suspension warrenty will be finished. if u install sound system ur electrical warrenty will be over and if u install CNG ur wiring warranty will be over. i was wondering wat else is left in the car? Pure bullshit.
"spectra" That chart is very nice. can u tell me the proper source of that chart. i mean any well known web-site so that i can present it as a proof to the technical staff of mitsubishi.
@ "racerF1" here is the proper and true story without any lies.
THE STORY
I purchased a car somewhere 2 months back. The car had stock yokohama tyres. I replaced them with 205/55/15. brand new tyres and wheels. Dunlop LM707. l m pasting a link too of topic in which i posted pictures. I changed tyres preety quickly so i have driven mostly on these tyres. Till now 1500 Km have been completed. I have never been on long route. I m xtremely cdaring about my car and never abuse ma car in rough terrain specially. around 1000 km car started to give a suspecious noise. leme xplain the noise. It comes from the left rear wheel side. It comes even when u drive through a bit bumpy road even at a very slow speed. It also makes noise when 3 ppl are sitting in a car and u drive by the speed breaker and when the shocks are pushed and released.
In the beginning it use to produce little noise as if the car's shocks are very dry like a dry hinges in the door of a house as the car use to pass by un even surface.
DEALERSHIP explanation:
They said when u install the bigger wheel the shock is allready contracted and oput of position even the car is stationary and when the car passes by a bump the shock contracts and reaches that position which is beyond the normal position and this way the gap is build between the normal position and the newly made position due to bigger wheel.
My question is that, i have seem 17: wheels on lancer, corolla and civis but none of them have complained and specially my car is just 1500 km driven.
secondly they claim that lancer's suspension is the strongest of all( corolla and civic) so is it what they are strong in?
Thirdly the stupid ppl say it is not possible to have 17" in lancer because Mitsubishi Pajero is suck a big car and it comes with 16" wheels. i was furious to hear such bullshit xplaination.
RacerF1 any suggestions in ur mind. wat if i remover the orignal shocks with second hand lowered springs. Atleast i'll get a sporty look by compromising on the comport. But i knw this idea is bit stupid. anywayz thanxxxx alot.
