Salaam Brothers,
Interesting views, you know I was listening to imran khan on telly and when ever I have heard him on the topic of shoaib akhtar, imran is always positive about him, look im not trying to defend his negative antics but rather i think he is the sort of person who needs to be handled in a certain way.
i think if imran had been skipper of pak then he would have got the best out of shoaib on and off the field...and imran's views do carry a lot of weight.....
you know there was one match where when pak lost against india and in the last day of the match shoaib went off the field due to injury and the pcb blamed the entire defeat on shoaib when the reality was that pak was already on the point of defeat at the end of the 4th day...the point is that on too many ocassions shoaib is scapegoated for losses mainly by the pcb when actually pakistan's problems are structural ....weak internal cricket structure and a dangerous lack of transperancy and genuine accountability in the decision-making process at the pcb....
