this thread covers my desperate attempt at installing apple's max os x 10.4.8 on my ibm compatible PC.
today i downloaded my single largest download 4.37 GB and started by making a primary partition on my hard drive
burnt the iso image downlaoded on dvd, played it and rebooted the pc
the pc loads into mac os x setup, asks for approperite instructions and one should be able to install it, BUT i wasnt :(. mac os X needs a fat32 partition reformated into apples own format, for that, the setup includes disk utility, which cleary shows all the partitions and asks for formating, only problem is when formating is completed, the partition remains in windows format, the installation wizard cant see it. hence im stuck there. tried to format thru terminal, but same result, doesnt work. i'll read more on net, and continue, meanwhile enjoy some of the pics, during installation,
hoping for some tips from u ppl.
