Pak-Cheen dosti is just a matter of geo-strategic advantage of Pakistan which is not in control of anyone except nature. If china won't support Pak with arms then it leaves a market open for many anti-Chinese competitors. In exchange of arms, Pak government turns blind eye towards Chinese dumping in market and damage to local industries. Corruption is really blessing for these people. Secondly because pak warmly welcome all Chinese crappers to dump their poo in their market, proudly export their forigen reserves and kill their local industries. I reckon, your most hated Indus motors can deliver a hell of a car on their own if Pak government can give up their china favor policy and reduce duties on imported raw materials from other countries. Major Pakistani trade partners are in US and Europe however its Chinese who take all the benefit. In essence, it feels like a Chinese lobby working in Pak government to screw its economy and consumers for their own trade benefit. Another major global crisis i suspect since WW2 is another great depression era due to Chinese draining the world economy and causing its crash if their dumping continues.
Regarding JF-17, a craft based on scraped Russian platform considered useless even by Russian standards wont give you any strategical benefit unless you have cost advantage of manufacturing 1:100 for every F-16 in enemy force, which unfortunately Pak doesn't have due to expensive cost of JF-17. Had an air craft developed in conjunction of Mig or Su, it would have been better and lot cheaper as well.

So a UAE or Gulf standard cannot be designated as a purchase caliber. Selling internationally doesn't mean quality. A purchase decision is not a caliber of judging quality by any means. So far Geely has failed all emission and safety testings world wide let them be in US or Europe.
