Hybrid technology is "not" for cars, like Ferrari ...! ????
Say What bro ???
Lexus (read Toyota) is working hard to bring hybrid cars into the market including a top-of-the-line super car. Its a pretty hot scene as the real issue at stake is "image". If your Ferrari, Lamborghini or other exotic supports a hybrid engine as well, it presents a greener "image". I believe Lexus is marketing a hybrid super-car in 2010 in the US market. Their current offerings are very popular. (If u think people bought Toyota Prius in such large numbers because they wanted to go green than think again. It was just an image issue. Before, people used to wait 4-6 months to get delivery for Toyota Prius paying premium prices and now Toyota even offers a cash rebate and still can't move these cars off their lots. What do u think happened to the green crowd? ).
Although I'm not sold to the idea of hybrid technology being more efficient and cost effective than internal combustion gasoline engines (want to start a thread on that topic??), I would very carefully evaluate any comments made for hybrid technology and exotic machines like Ferrari, Lamborghinis etc. They WILL pretty soon jump on board the hybrid-wagon too.
