hmmm i take it you have never heard about the 300SEL6.3 or the 450SEL 6.9???
mercs and bmw's have been using forced induction for DECADES now, infact MB used superchargers on the 1931 720 SSKL's and BMW was the first to reliablyu turbocharge a small car in 1973 with the 2002 turbo.
when it comes to all-out performance you can always compare the mclaren F1 LM (bmw engine - 668.0 bhp @ 7800 rpm) to the pagani zonda R(AMG engine - 750 bhp @ 7500 rpm).
when it comes to street cars:
M3
power 313.2 kw / 420 bhp @ 8300 rpm
hp per litre 105.03 bhp per litre
bhp/weight 253.78 bhp per tonne
torque 399.97 nm / 295 ft lbs @ 3900 rpm
C63 (approx details)
power 358.7 kw / 481 bhp @ 6800 rpm
hp per litre 77.48 bhp per litre
bhp/weight 274.07 bhp per weight
torque 630 nm / 464.7 ft lbs @ 5000 rpm
unlike the older C-class mercs,.. this one can actually handle track use as well... move over BMW!
