Dear FriendsCan somebody guide me what to use to counter cylinder weight. Some mechancis say the use of high springs, some say metal spacers and some say rubber spacers. Please guide me what should I do and the related cost.
RegardsIrfan
I used to have a Margalla 97 with CNG. After two years it rear springs were compressed to an extent that car was not levelled properly. I replaced the rear springs not with higher one but with ones having a thicker coil. It cost me Rs 800/ but it is a few yrs back. Thicker springs worked good with that car and ride was still comfortable.
Thanks Bro. My mechanic asking for Rs. 3000 , it is high. You are correct in saying thicker springs instead of higher. Are these bought as a new ones or from Bilal Gunj.
I bought new ones , made in Lahore but I bought from R/pindi Saddar.
Coil springs? MADE IN LAHORE?Are you sure or is our metallurgy finally up to par?
Coil springs are made from low carbon steel and are made in a process called cold rolling or cold bending. Fortunately both this material and technique sits at the lower end of technology and thus is available in Pakistan.
hello!asking 3000 for new coil springs wheather of bilal gunj or shakoor ganj...does'nt matter ...i get the new set of 2 rear with 1 year warrenty for 1050/- for my Sunny 92...also use spacers if ur daily run comes with heavy load....Thanxxx
Thanx to super-old technology my Mehran has extra leaf-springs. No need for spacers or heavier shocks.
