We're probably the only nation in the world that actually ask that question before purchasing a brand new car.
Nothing really wrong with the car as such, tends to suck up almost anything you throw its way. The engine and the transmission are well matched and make for a smooth drive. The engine like all three-banger daihatsus is economical although your consumption will go up significantly if you have a heavy right foot. The interior is relativly barren than the competition (Chev/Alto) but due to small engine, and dynamics, there's surprising leg room in the front and the rear(dunno about the Checv but definitly more than the ALTO. There have been a couple of complaints regarding "snapping off" of door handles, noisy rear suspension and a wobbly ride at 80kph and above.
To prevent the first, spray a generous coat of wd40 on the door inserts where the weather strip rests as they tend to stick to the body causing excessive stress on the door handles causing them to snap. Only happens when the cars' new so, should be ok after a couple of months.
As for the rear suspension, the anchorage during transit sees chains and fasteners pass throught the rear shock absorbers and round the control arms which sometimes, due to excessive force tends to bend the shock absorbers making them hard and noisy. The dash "judder" at high speed is usually because of new tires, out a couple of miles on them and they should be okay. don;t get too disheartened.
Its a Joy to drive otherwise. But then again, thats just me talking.
