I just wanted to make this clear to most of the members here who think that hevier cars or motorbikes have more grip on the road.
This is a common misunderstanding. A lighter veichle needs less grip to turn its direction as the vechile is carrying less kinetic energy because it weighs less. So lighter automobiles stop, turn and accelerate quicker. Many people think that a light car will slip while a heavier car will have more grip on the road.
A heavier car is carrying more energy. So it is harder to stop, move or change its direction. They are slower, brake slower, turn slower and accelerate slower.
Just think of it as a bowling ball or a really heavy ball. If u roll it, it is harder to stop it compared to a lighter ball. When a car is turning the wheels are stopping the car to go in a specific direction and promoting to another.
Its well annonying when i hear from sum members, like the new cg125 is heavier than the old one so it has more grip better handling.... Even cars, mehran is though it have less control on the road because it is light. Its just the tires.
So, light cars have more grip, better handling and acceleration
Heavy cars have bad braking, turning and acceleration
BTW: By road grip i mean control on the road, which means quicker stopping, accelerating and turning
