ISLAMABAD: In the wake of terrorist attacks on Pakistan President Pervez Musaharraf and threats from various extremist organisations, Pakistan has decided to import more bullet-proof vehicles and jammers to provide foolproof security to Musharraf and Prime Ministe
r Shaukat Aziz.
According to The Nation , the decision was taken on Tuesday in an inter-provincial coordination committee meeting over law and order. The meeting was also attended by officials deputed to ensure the security of the country's two top men.
Federal Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao reportedly chaired the meeting in which the Inspectors General of Police and Home Secretaries of all the provinces, intelligence officials, secretary interior and other officials were present.
Quoting sources the paper said that the security operators of President Musharraf and PM Shaukat Aziz have been asked to place the list of their requirements for security hardware needed to provide shield while they move out of Islamabad.
