Previously been driving a vti oriel auto 99. Just got a new official Cultus VXLi Petrol two months back. The car has just clocked 2,000km and I am posting my review (tried to be fair and non discriminatory) of the car. The car is all stock except Pirelli P400 175/70/13 tyres. Running it 50/50 on HOBC/techron and changed oil at 1,000km with Shell Helix Plus (blue) and plugs to bosch super 4.
The review is dedicated to Akbargr8 apologies again bro due to hectic official routine : ( anyway here goes the detailed review!
Performance:
Not bad for a 1000cc car.. though at times feel like losing power on AC.. but again i need to get back to reality n be mindful that its not my vti : ( the engine sound could be a bit more decent!! the pick is good... if u floor it on 2nd u get a very responsive n quick good 0-100! havent crossed 130km/hr but my other colleague with same cultus has touched 175 on motorway n still stable (atleast he claims so ) the engine bay looks cool! consumption i believe is NOT decent @12-13km a ltr! power steering is good!
Chasis/ suspension:
Suspension is good on smooth roads and turns but even on slight bumps/ small potholes.. the whole chasis rattles n sounds so fragile!
Braking:
With pirelli 175/70/13 tyres brakes are above average...or good.. again i need to wake up n realise its not vti : (
Body/ Interior:
The doors wont close untill u pull (from inside) and push (from outside) real hard atleast 2nd/ 3rd time! the gap between trunk hood n body is too much! the paint job is NOT flawless! the front seats are very comfortable (better than vti) and the fabric is also good! interior is not cheaply plasticky! mp3 is normal.. the tiny rear speakers are good enuf for a normal person who doesnt love loud music! the interior is noisy specially the rear seat/ board makes noise on bumpy roads! power windows are okay! door panels are not sturdy! leg room both in front and rear is awesome!!
Overall:
7/10 in other 1,000cc alternatives! Not a bad car if you aint buying as well as paying for the fuel (should be on petrol if you wanna enjoy) out of your pocket
