reddevils
Ferrari's have always eluded me but luckily got to drive two 575M's in a couple days. One car had the HGTC package but without the carbon ceramic brakes...both were manual transmission cars. I guess I couldn't have asked for better Ferrari's to drive for the first time.
Luckily the Vanquish didn't break down...the dealer told me that all Vanquish drive differently than one another because of the numerous adjustment points in the mechanics of the sequential transmission system. The shifts were quick but somewhat jerky around town. When you hit the gas with sport mode on and shift near redline you can hear a sound very similar to blow-off valves in turbocharged cars...the sound is actually produced by the high-pressure hydraulic pumps in the transmission. The traction control system isn't very advanced and when getting on the gas hard from low speeds the car wants to slide sideways a bit. The V-12 engine pulls hard all the way up to redline and has a linear torque curve.
