Default Best CNG for 2005 Lancer GLX

    AS the topic states...

CNG Kit Zone (karachi) is giving me 55kg EKC cylinder and original landi renzo kit (according to them), advancer and emulator for 53k...

Friends CNG is giving me 60kg cylinder, LENOVO (or something... italian), advancer and emulator for 41k.. (they said, halka wala emulator agar hoga to 3000 less ho jayain ***)

so pls guys, tell me, which option should I go for? best service, price, quality etc ?? also, does lancer need 'bushes' etc for raising its height in case of CNG??

    thanks

Thanks for the detailed reply Its really helpful, and 70K for those lil 3 cylinders is to much m gona go after market CNG and its cost around 40K max i guess so. Hows urs experience on CNG? how much millage it gives on full tank(CNG)?
well....the performance of out santro is really gud on CNG considering it being a 1.0 car. even with 4 adults in the car, the car really feels full of power. abt the average, it gives like 120 km on 42 kgs cylinder on long route with AC on, so u can like add 10-15 km in it if the lites are off

if you can keep your running under a 1000 kms then i wont recommend any CNG conversion :

    1000 kms on Petrol = 7,000 rupees / month.

    1000 kms on CNG = 4,000 rupees / month.

    Saving = 3,000 / month, CNG Kit Price = 35,000, break even = 1 full year, play-urr of your car's drive = zero.

I recently installed CNG kit on Lancer 1.3L manual transmission from Raja CNG at Sarya Chowk G8 Islamabad. Cost was around 35k with best Landi Renzo kit and 55kg cylinder. I am getting around 150-170 kms in the city and around 180-200kms on the motorway on a full cylinder filled in Rwp/Isb. There were initially some tuning issues at low running but the car remains quite drivable in general even with CNG, albeit with significantly lower acceleration and power.

I have experienced the Clutch plate wearing out a lot earlier than expected in my previous manual car running on CNG.

In Automatic cars the whole damn gear box goes in some cars sooner in some later.

we drove our corolla XE 1998 for 1,30,000 kms, all the way on CNG, and sold the car with the OEM clutch plates i wonder if CNG has got anything to do with clutch plate. u just have to rev a lil bit higher as compared to petrol, or drive one gear lower in certain places in order to keep the car in power. driving my platz for the last 60 thousand kilometer, and no problem whatsoever with the clutch plate yet (i have the manual tranny)

hmm you reminded me of my daewoo racer, went good for 1,50,000 kms on CNG untill i sold it out

These cars have a Clutch life of 4 - 5 lac kms if driven properly,Toyota, Honda, GM they are built to last, if they last 2 lac kms on CNG even then its not bad considering the $ you save on gas good luck with your CNG but let me stay on Petrol and enjoy

going to get CNG tommorow. Final question:

    i) Which Cylinder should I go for? 55kg or 60kg (both EKC.. faber not available/too expensive)

ii) Which kit is better, Landi Renzo or Lovato (both italian with warranty)

iii) Does it make a difference if I use chinese emulator/advancer instead of other.. (both have NO warranty)?

    thnks

    1. 55 kg...dont go for 60 kg. EKC are too heavy otherwise

    3. nopes. dont go for chinese ones. they screw up big time

Got CNG installed from CNG Kit Zone for Rs 33,500/-

Includes 55kg EKC cylinder, Landi renzo (italian) kit, Advancer and Emulator (Allegro, argentina).. all 1 yr warranty (including replacement for emulator/advancer.. but not in case of water/engine wash) and 6 months free service

testing out the mileage on the lancer now...

pick fine (obviously not as great as petrol) but no big difference... top speed is different though.. max on a 4km road was 120km/h (could have gone a bit higher).. same road, petrol 150km/h
