    Default Lancer 1990 Carburetor Problem Help needed

    Hello All,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comLancer 1990 Carburetor Problem Help needed - PI have Just Changed my Lancer 1990 Dolphin Shape 1300 cc Engine with 1500 cc Engine of Same Japnies model. There were some wires coming from my New Carburetor so my mechanic suggested me to put my old Carburetor on my new Engine but after putting my old Carburetor my car is giving me 5km / Ltr. in city with AC and on Highway it is giving me 7 km / Ltr. Without AC so please help me out of my this situation.

    you have the variable venturi carb - and I believe your mechanic has not put a vacuum line to the powervalve jet - its just dumping fuel - OR you may need to check ignition advance etc.

    i think bad idea to slap a 1.3l engine's carb onto the 1.5l.
    if you can post the pics of both the old and new carbs
    then we can find out which stuff goes where.

    Most probably vacuum lines are not hooked up propely...

    Replace the old carb with the one that came with 1.5l engine and also get the fuel pump checked.
    I work only because it pays for three F's. Food for me, Fuel for my bike and Film for my camera.
