Lancer is a good car but no match to Civic. we should no go to the technical points we should get practical. i haven't yet witnessed any race in which the corolla or baleno smoking the civic. wats the reason of that??? i'll tell u reason is that its da BEST!!! well corolla & Baleno are not in match of Civic. well i don't know about the new lancer but i have smoked 98 Lancer several time. both were semi-modified. haven't raced wit stock. well as for AHAD CIVIC he speaks on his experience i think he also owns baleno & corolla. so he isn't crazy to call them crap.....
Almost everyone in Pakistan is doing corruption to the extent they can. Our leaders are doing at the level they can do. So why should we complain?
technical facts r the 1st thing. what u c may not be true. if u or some others just say a vti winning then its not my or others fault who disagree. so plz try to get the reality.
my friend has bought vti promestic recently and my relatives have se saloon autmatic. well, as soon as my friend completes teh running of his ride i will manage and may be if get succeed in carrying video camera i will make a clip. but keep the facts that se saloon has more than 80kms running and his one is new. so don't say again that it's wrong.
p.s when i raced my thakelee with city. at that time thakelee was driven 6000km and city was just 1500km driven even then the reality shows the difference.
alhtough the other thekelee whom my pic was same was 18000km driven and so the rest.
i missed "k" actually "pick"
ok getmoa bro! we r waiting 4 ur feedback through that video.
yaar apus ki baat hay some ppl r very touchiiiii. laikin daykho aur haan i drove se saloon alot. well i think prosmatic might can't make.
well i have plans to do first one on
D4 BOTH CARS
D3 OF VTI AND OVERDRIEVE OFF OF SE SALOON AUTO
"2" OF BOTH CARS.
BUT WON'T BE SWAPING DRIVERS
on auto transmission ... drivers will not be making much difference .. so no worries

thats a big NO from myside
as to me,even the 1.5 civic Exi can make this 1.6 lancer its *****!
the 1.6 lancer has 106 horsepower compared to vti`s 130.
I`m a figures man ;-)
regarding the specs, wht really matters is the hp/weight ratio. Civic again is lighter than corolla(Im not really sure but civic is 300kgs lighter), so overall it has a better hp/weight ratio than corolla and thus making it a faster car on tracks and everywhere else.
Variable Valve Timing gives the best of both worlds - ECONOMY and PERFORMANCE due to a very broad power curve. Honda started with its VTEC and has perfected this system which was copied/adopted by other manufacturers. Toyota came up with its VVTi, Mitsubishi's MIVEC, Nissan's VVL etc..even late model BMWs have a variable valve timing system.
Honda did come up with an E-VTEC system which has a two stage VTEC that concentrated mainly on economy....but still produced comparable/higher power levels than its main rivals.
IF VTEC was for economy only, why on earth would BMWs,Toyotas (like Celicas and Camrys) and all the fast Hondas(NSX,Civic & Integra Type R etc) have this system?
Brand loyalty is a good thing...but to an extent.
yes i think vtec is best for economy and its true i think 2004 gives more km/liter than 2004 saloon....but but i am little confused that in racing you required start to end performance but in civic its vtec for economy so its quite strange that it can get speed from the starting firstly on low rpm only one valve was open as your opponents both are working so at any point if your car from low need speed so it take time so plz explain this.....
but one thing from technical point of view that toyota engines has easy mechanism w.r.t honda's.....
