Default Which Volta / Osaka Battery to buy for Lancer?

    Hi

My father has a Lancer 1.3l 2007 model. The battery (original Japanese) which came with car is now dead after about 5 years.
    Battery 12V 55d23l (356CCA / 99RC). Alternator is 85amp

Only Osaka / Volta company website gives details of the batteries in terms of CCA and RC in Pakistan.
which battery should I buy. I have shortlisted some below from their website.

    Volta

    1. N80Z
    2. N80ZL difference in these two is L and R
    3. N90a
    4. N95
    5. MF-68-D26-R/L

If any imported one is available in the above specification of eg. AC Delco, please also tell about that.

Urgent advice needed as I need to buy the battery by tommorrow as the car is standing without battery now..

your specs are matched with N80ZL according to Volta website, 356CCA and 101 RC, the L is left side fitment - your car uses this.

Get some proper distilled water - you would need about 6 or 7 litres of it (best is to put it in the freezer and take it out when its near freezing, ask your battery seller to prepare fresh electrolyte for you with that water and make it to 1.270 SG - measure this when it has cooled down.

Check and double check the SG - verify by weighing 1 litre volume of it - it should weigh 1270 grams at room temperature. Once confirmed, pour into battery and put to first charge. Let charge for 2 hours and then put into service.

I went to some dealers but found the Osaka battery was with right terminal....meaning + on the right, while in my Lancer + terminal is on the left.

As I could not delay the battery as the car was non operational I bought the AGS one, model is 85.
