    Remember the old problem in almost all EKs; fluttering sound form serpentine belt and belt tensioner when car is in D mode and AC is on. Several people has complained this problem, including Nissan Otti. This is because of faulty Serpentine Belt Tensioner, an auto-adjusting pully responsible to maintain stretch and pressure of the belt when AC is on or off. When tensioner doesnt work properly, it cant absorb and flutters. I'd been using a work around and recommended fellows to tighten belt as alternative; from 4PK-1540 to 4PK-1520. It worked but it's affect lasts only a few months, then problem appears again.

    Now, I am planning to import that part, Serpentine Belt Tensioner form the Japan. Traced out the actual retail product from the OEM vendor, who has supplied this part to Mitsubishi. Also, found out that this same part is used in following vehicles.

    Mitsubishi EK Wagon (Turbo/Sports)
    Mitsubishi Minica
    Mitsubishi Pajero Mini
    Nissan Otti

    Here are product details;

    Removed bulbs with simple rotate-n-pull method and installed LEDs, nothing more than that required.
    Will PM you the price ;-)

    meanwhile

    we r having construction done at our native home in village. the drive through is a little tight space, and being a 3d graphic designer, i have been asked to make real word simulation of driving EK through the gate. realscale, realsize, realtime drive, to check if Ek gets impacted on anyside, if tire looses traction, skidding, slipping, anything. much like a game like nfs. one could be able to drive it with keyboard.

    am say 90% there.

    sharing a screenshot. (dont laugh)

    wonderful, ... EK is notorious about belt tensioner, ..... Good to know that u ve found exact solution for it.

    i hv a question abt it, i cant make any relation between AC and tensioner, like if AC is on, why should tensioner which is a seat part, and not engine part, get clues about tightening or loosening itself. ... any thoughts ?

    Well, see the diagram and you will get the idea, tensioner is marked with number 14300. Actually, in EK, single belt runs over alternator, steering pump and AC compressor. When AC turns on, it gets load, when off, it releases load and eases the belt. Here comes the tensioner, to maintain belt tension, so that it does not slip over other pullies when AC is off.This is my understanding and observation only!

    Frankly, there are actually more than one, though I bought from nengun.com. By the way, I later found out that they've charged me little higher... I complained and referred to another online seller with lower price... they got annoyed and simply rejected to lower the price.

    Though, all this happened after the shipment, so I secured my purchase.... as another fellow said... lessons learnt! Next time I'll be in better position to find a favorable deal.

    Found some usefull info. about how to get rid of 'spanner' sign on dashboard.

    Manual says , dashboard should show number of kilometers/months till next inspection is due.*

    So , if you your inspection time (as per dashboard) is due , then this spanner mark will appear there untill you get rid of it using below steps

    1-switch ignition ON (lights)
    2-press button on end of stalk(RH)until spanner symbol flashes & distance remaining to next service appears in the odometer display.
    3-press & hold the little stalk on dash display(trip reset) for 10 secs until new service interval is displayed.let go of stalk.
    4 turn ignition off.

    OR

    Here goes-
    1,switch ignition OFF,
    2,press & hold trip reset stalk(instrument cluster)
    3,Switch ignition ON
    4,keep pressed for 10 secs,
    Display will now read 0 and 'spanner' symbol will go out*

    [QUOTE=asifzahidasif;4697430]super cool.

    man they look nice. MA.[/QUOTE

    "Yesterday I got my car seats reupholstered better to say refurbished them with a nice fabric along with the combination of artificial leather without removing the original ones. It was so nice looking and just like original ones. It cost me only Rs. 4500. I also got a pair of white LED (5 each) parking lights for Rs. 150 from Montgomery Road. I purchased an air compressor with metal nozzle and a metal gauge. It also includes a pair of clamps for hooking direct to battery. All these rest in a nice plastic case. Believe me it inflated a tyre from 0 to 32 lbs within a minute. "
