    lancer is better than liana anyday.
    liana hasn't proved hot cake so far, so resale wise liana has not got big edge over lancer yet. btw, do have a look @ the availability and prices of spare parts too before finalizing a purchase.

    though i am not a big fan of honda/ city either but it has got cheapest spares when it comes to prices of spare parts in its class (1.3L).

    @asd123

    You should not buy Lancer . It's people like us (me too) who buy a car not for the pleasure of it but for the resale value. In such case, we should not buy a new car at all since it will have some depreciation (in normal circumstances unlike Pakistan for the last two to three years). maybe we do not deserve good cars and should stick to the ever faithful Mehran since its resale is best.

    We must educate ourselves that cars are not for investment purpose but for driving.

    You cant compare even Jap assembled 1.6 Liana with Mitsubishi Lancer, what to talk of Pak Liana which is wayyy inferior than Jap Liana. Lancer is outclass man, the only competition is Nissan Sunny Jap imported, which has now come down to 899,000 (1.3 M/T). By the way, both these imported cars are also coming with CNG. In the case of Sunny, its Jap factory fitted with warranty specially for us.
    These cars being so cheap now, I guess we should dump all this 1.3 Litre local crap in favour of these imported cars, it is us, the users who make market for cars. Additionally, the situation now in Pakistan, I doubt we will have resale in terms of money for ANY used cars, the only factor would be that the car is sold, money will not be a factor now, the depreciation on used cars will keep on getting worse.

    Lancer no doubt in this price is an excellent excellent buy. I sat in a red cab(Liana) today, the car is fine but quality, comfort and performance wise Lancer is way way ahead.

    I agree with bkahive, Cars are meant to be driven, they're not an investment!
    RX-7? An RX-7? Really? I hope you know it's just a sports car with a washing machine under the hood.

    we had one lancer 2003 in dubai and i loved that car, it has very good acceleration, but it is not too stable it feel jurks at high speed.
    In pakistan i think liana FF cng is a good option over lancer.

    Lancer will spoil u , u wont like ani loacal cars after drivnig lancer ....we had a lancer 1.3 for like 6 months ...paid 18-20 thouand per month for the petrol ...havent driven a lancer on CNG ..but Jap assembled lancer cant be compared with ani local cars, like liana ,baleno,Xli ,Gli,,, even exi and vti ..

    @s55
    considering 160kph as a high speed ; lancer is stable on high speeds ...

    Lancer rocks ...!!!

    Yaar dewan walay phatay huay tyres sastay naehin detay tou yeh lancer kese sasti de saktay hain. There must be something behind that.
    For lancer:
    - Bad interior (in case of GL)
    - Bad performance on CNG (warranty void if u install CNG)
    - Bad resale
    - Expensive and hard to find parts.
    - Smoother drive
    - SOHC Engine
    - Made in Japan
    - Bankrupt company.

    for Liana:
    - Better interior than Lancer GL
    - Excellent performance on CNG.
    - Excellent resale
    - Moderate priced and easy to find parts.
    - Rougher drive
    - DOHC engine
    - Made in pakistan.
    - Japan's third largest brand

    anyways choice is yours.
