I'd not recommend an engine swap unless you are sure of the engine health at scrap yard plus the electrician to fix correct sensors wiring to the ecu
please work out an estimated cost for engine overhaul with maximum OEM / Japanese parts. Check out prices for engine wiring ecu and labor charges, do a comparison in contrast to hassle for regn book editing. Last but not least you will be totally blank for history of an engine from scrap yard.
only if you choose to rebuilt the engine, ensure that the mechanic knows about using correct tools to torque the engine & head matting bolts plus the engine block coolant lines are cleaned with gun-brush to scrap away the rust from cooling lines. use coolant, thermostat in engine with cooling fans rigged to run on auto.
over so many years on this forum very few individuals have successfully done swap from conventional to EFI engines with their very OWN interest & dedication. - thats' my 2 cents,
