Unhappy Lancer Just making 250 KMs in full tank of High Ocatne.... HELPPPPP.....!

    AoA to All.

I have a lancer 1.3, 2004 Model Automatic. Just bought month ago.
I recently changed its Ring Piston and related stuff and because it was giving white smoke a little.
It is having some issues. . .

    1. Its RPM goes over 2500 on IDLE, doesn't matter AC is on or OFF. Though when car is in gear and brakes are pressed its RPM stays normal below 1000.

    2. Car gives 400+ Kms in city without AC but with AC it just gives me less then 250 on full tank of High Octane (full=approx 45 Ltrs, m not counting reserve). . . Don't know why AC is sucking so much fuel. AC gas was also refilled few weeks back.
    3. Is there something wrong with AC?

Sorry mate there are no good mechanics of Lancer in Lahore. Check the throttle body and idle sensor. mostly its at fault.
Lancer AT gives 9-10km/ltr with out AC.
If travelling was free, You'd never see me again.

Check whether AC Compressor put more load on engine. consult Ahmed Car AC in wahdat colony or visit safanwala chowk couple of AC shops are there.

fact is neither we have good parts or mechanics or machinists here

y do u think engine swap is so damn common?

Lance engine swap would have been quiet cheap....you could have upgraded to 1.6 n got better avg then this

the rebuild left a sucked up compression. low compression....back pick up.....high fuel consumption....pathetic drive
Life is short and very unpredictable just like a Quarter mile .....

I think the issue is with the choke or throttle body.

I think it is the idle control valve playing with you, maybe some throttle body cleaner shall do the job.
