    Default CVT/Transmission mechanics in Lahore?

I was referred to Yasir Autos in muslim town, have error codes showing two failed VSS's I think it's the belt regardless I think my wallet will be raped. I just want to make sure I go to someone who makes it as painless as possible. Shoot away guys, rebuilding vs kabli I don't care as long as that someone knows how to do their job. Any reviews on this yasir autos fellow would also be great.

Trustworthy guy, he will let you know all the possible options after checking the car. Most probably you will end up getting a kabuli trans. Make sure you get appropriate oil for that specific transmission. Code can be checked from dip stick.
Quantity of oil is another tricky issue so make sure you discuss these with the mechanic

Got it done from syncview long story short I knew the oil but I will put whatever is here for help to future members:

    - CS2A came in two variants 4wd and non 4wd
    - Oil capacity of the tranny is 8.1 litres both in 4wd and 2wd variants
    - Transmission code for 4wd is w1c1a and for 2wd f1c1a
    - Both tranny's can fit into a JDM CS2A 4WD variant bolt on whats available for sale is usually the 2wd version, the 4wd is available for double the price but who would bother if you want fuel economy & power. I had removed drive shafts earlier so no need for 4wd for me
    - If your car was originally 4wd and you are buying a 2wd tranny only the axle needs changing on one side, that can be bought for 3k in exchange of your own
    - There are two brothers in Bilal Gunj who deal with Lancer items, both have shops called lancer house one is located in the engine wali gali and one kind of outside where all the half cuts are stacked. Both will quote different prices and I was able to recognize later I had paid a bit much after realizing both are the same shops
    - Once the belt is done you will get two codes pertaining to vcc, n light will blink and gear will not engage. This is computer's way of saying I am getting jack **** in terms of a signal I think the sensors are faulty in reality the belt is gone. Unless someone offers to repair and can it's no use
    - Tranny replacement with your tranny will cost around 20-23k
    - Oil available are for testing period go with zic atf XPIII (don't accept any other zic variant) - more than double that price usman autos on monthomery at 1400rs you will find thai made original mitsubishi atf sp3 which is the oil for all mitsubishi cvt's that mention sp-3 on their dipstick. LM 1200 and meguin are available bit cheaper but it's a risk I wasn't willing to take. At nearly 20k km on my old tranny with zic atf-xp3 and moving to new tranny the difference was very noticeable. I now realize that the zic was probably not made for a 20k run, unlike atf's which are meant to work till 40k for at least sp3 specifications.

Ok there was a front bumper grill cut galant vr4 lying in lancer house. There's a possibility he ordered the whole half cut and this part was on display. I do remember asking him about it I think he might have the rest of the stuff from that lying around. No harm in paying a visit and asking, there's even a possibility he might arrange one for you. If you've got a lancer chances are he has every single part you need and maybe for galants too because people were coming and asking for them too.
