    Default short ride report

Some time has passed since I had taken a long ride, so kind of restlessness

was settling in. Matters got worse when the mega trip to Khunjarab got

delayed for the month. Longing for the road and wilderness was driving

me crazy and i had to take a ride despite very high temperatures in our

part of the country. I was waiting for an opportunity and when it presented itself,

i grabbed it with both hands. I took two days leave for a family matter and got sorted

out pretty soon and i was left with a day and half of free time plus recent rains had improved

the weather a bit, though it was still hot. This trip was to serve another purpose, it was

a chance to test the equipment and luggage system i was planning to use for

    mega trip.

    Enough b**"'*t now few pics.

The following few pics r for PBC members

as i promised them. my prep for the mega trip

saddle bags (not of very good quality but hopefully last the mega trip)

Lovebikes you are really adventurous. I would appreciate your efforts.
Would you like to share about the accessories that you installed on your gs-150.
I am especially concerned about carrier rack and saddle bags.
From where I can get accessories like this and their price/make, as I guess those are not availlable here in RWP/ISD.
There is nothing extra on my bike apart from the carrier rack. Go to Suzuki Marri road in Pindi and u will probably find one lying with them. It will cost u around Rs 1000.
Saddle bags r just an improvised home made version that lasted a single trip because such motorcycle accessories are hard to find over here. For the future trips I have made myself a much durable pair which I hope will last longer.

Chaa gaye Yaqub bhai. Thanks for sharing. Know what, it was your thread about the solo bike trip to Gawader that introduced me to what is called the Makran coastal highway. And who says Balochistan is unsafe?

Have you been to Mai Godrani near Bela? If yes, I'd appreciate if you could share some pictures of that place. What is the condition of the road that leads to it?

Zain Bhai. Know what, it was your hidden face thread and introduction to TWAN that made me buy a DSLR camera.

Alright! Good for us. But you're still leading: I referred this guy (who currently lives in Grand Teton, US) to your Gawader thread when he asked about the highway on an international astronomy forum.

    Zain,

You and your astronomer friends are indeed lucky to have such skies. Must be a great place, Hingol. I tried to get there 35 years ago--crocodiles, leopards, and desert--the Makran Range, from Bela. No luck. Tough land, tough people. Incredible birds! I'm surprised there is a road. Have you taken sky quality meter (SQM) readings? Enjoy every minute of it.

    Dark skies.

At the average cruising speed of 90-100 kph it gives 35 km/l.
