In that hotel we met some very nice people, who were as excited about the next day's cricket semi-final match of Pakistan against India as rest of the country. They had actually bought and brought a new dish TV that day from Skardu just to watch that match and asked for our help to install it. Both of us had no idea but assembled the dish following manual and connected the receiver with TV set as instructed but no result. We kept trying for some time but nothing happened, so we gave up and they called a young boy from the neighborhood who had experience of these things. We had dinner and later pitched our tent outside hotel after getting permission from the owner. They were still trying to set the dish TV when we went to sleep, later in the morning we learned that they finally succeeded around 2 am.

As far as i think... ppl like Doc and others they don't do this stuff for some recognizance or realization at national/international level... instead it is to fulfill the inner thirst of exploration and adventure...
And like KhanOmer usually says... "Pakistan is the world's best kept secret..."

Day 4. Shangrila and rest in hotel room:Breakfast, goodbyes and we were off for Skardu early in the morning. It didnt take us long to cover 40, 50 kms and after finding a hotel the first thing was a hot shower and clean clothes. Then we decided to see the Shangrila which is not too far away from Skardu and come back in time to see the semi final match. It was good to sit on a bench in the sun by the lake side and relax for a while.
