Default Motorcycle Diaries, A doc's adventures.

No, dont get the wrong idea, this thread has nothing to do with Che and his travels across South America but yes this thread does feature a doc, his bike and the crazy idea to see the country on a two wheeler. Some people have restless souls and no amount of comfort can bind them to a single place for a long time. I may be included in this category, more than a month at a place and it starts haunting me and the urge to move makes me sick. I cant say I have travelled as much as many of you here but I have covered many a miles in my life. Sometimes purposeless and just for the sake of travel and to keep the sickness away. Very little else makes me as happy as I am when on the road, no matter what mode of transport I take. So when did motorcycle enter in the scenario and why? Ok I stop it here, let us leave the details for my blog. I think these words of Ian Chadwick explain it quite well.

“ If you've never ridden, you can't comprehend. But once you try it, you're hooked for life.

I currently own a Suzuki GS 150, locally manufactured ,small displacement street motorcycle that is cheap, reliable and handles well off the pavement.

Suzuki GS 150, nothing fancy but does the job.

Here, in this space I will share my travel experiences and show you my beloved country as I see it from the back of a motorcycle saddle.

For those of you who are not familiar with me and my strange sense of fun, here are the links of my previous rides I shared on this forum.

I loved the scenery, rocky mountains with snow clad peaks and plantation along the riverbed. This seemingly barren land is full of color if u have eye for it.

We came across this sandy riverbed which was conveniently placed along the road, so couldnt resist and the result was this.

In the end I hated ruining the peace of place like that but hey its just the tire tracks and one day of strong wind, the place will be as it was. I would like to request you all that please always take care to leave nothing except tire tracks and footprints in places you visit.

The important thing Doc is that you were there to experience the amazing natural rugged beauty first hand and frankly for us you have left an impression more than the tire marks you made there...the tire tracks will surely vanish but what you have captured and what we have seen and read in your thread will be in our minds till we are able to experience it first hand. Thank you!
I just love the combination of blue skies, white fluffy clouds, hues of grey and brown...in the last picture of post no 104 - Subhan Allah!

As far as i can tell by looking at their jackets, they are wearing protection jackets...

Specially Doc. Yaqoob is wearing the same jacket as me and Imran Bhatti were wearing on our trip to Southern Punjab... Where as Tahir is waring a protection jacket made out of leather... a bit more warm and tough...

Bilal is right. We were wearing riding jackets with protective padding. We ordered these at the same time at PBC.

Did I tell you about the beautiful little villages we passed, I think I did. Here is one of those. Got to have lot more time when I visit northern areas next, this just isnt justice enough. Seriously considering HB's (libra) idea of two month trip.

Forgot the name but all were interesting names
