Omer bhai, plan toubet to deosai to shounter to back toubet is amazing...

though it requires a lot of mental strength.... i dont think this plan is applicable with the bikers/ wanderers of different temperament....

han, fot the members of same temperament this can be one of best possible biking/ trekking expedition.

Very right. It's beautiful and out of this world. I did it when I was around your age. This time I might get a pony.

Shall we finalise the Shandhoor trip and discuss details in the next monthly GTG?

Yes since we have 3 votes in favor of Shindoor festival so we may work in deatils for this trip mean while if majoriy (after addition of other members) have some other decision then we will plan accordingly .

Ya very right... but it could be skipped...

Taobutt, Kamri, Mini Marg, Burzil pass, Chillam, Deo sai, Rattu, Shounter. Domail Bala and you will reach then at Kel some 45 km below Taobutt. You have to go to Taobutt on jeep and then back to Kel and onward to Muzaffarabad. Another thing deosai could be best gone through bikes instead of other means. But you have parked your bikes at Taobutt....

2ndly this trekking will be approx 10+ days... so if you want to do this trekking then why go on bikes.. just use public transport easily available.

So I think that you should made biking plan or trekking plan...

In case biking plan if most of the participant didnt saw the northern areas,, you can go to Gilgit via naran chilas and go to Hunza and onward to China Border and if you have time you can go to Skardu shigar and khaploo...

you can go also to shandoor from Gilgit and travel onward to Chitral and on way back you can travel through Lawari top... and on way back swat can also be touched....

    Thanks...

Rana sahib I am no hard core biker and use air, train, bus, bike, whatever is suitable. I prefer bikes because it keeps me close to nature and thats why I prefer trekking even more. All these are mind teasers to bring out response from other members and can form a good basis for the trip.

Personally I would like to have an extensive explore Deosai trip. Because of my lack of fitness and age I might get a few porters and ponies but would certainly stretch my endurance before seeking help.

I would also like to spend a few days in the lovely Rupal valley too.

If going for the Shindhoor plan... then I think in order to catch the Shindhoor polo festival, the ideal date of departure should be 1st of july... rest all depends upon the final announcements of the dates of the event...

And in case of other plans also, the start of July is perfect... as per previous year experience and this years forecasts, do expect a lot of rain in the mid of July...

omer bhai, once i met an aged trekker(above 55 years). he told me that sunny, one cant defeat mountain/ nature by power but by will. it matters nothing what is your age and fitness level, if you have will you can.

I know that you are one out of a very few inspirations for youth (though now i am also not so young) dont get shy to say that you at this age are willing to do this all stuff. Coz youth see you and get the courage to get into different pangas.....

Though already accepted an offer to join a trek in July but I am all in for plan 3, lets hope that the dates dont coincide.
I work only because it pays for three F's. Food for me, Fuel for my bike and Film for my camera.
