You can cross this stream on passing jeeps too as reported by Asad01 in his thread, but they charge heavily. If I remember correctly I crossed them in early eighties on my Honda 175 without much difficulty.

Mustafeez sahib trek to Nanga parbat Rupal face is worth seeing. Villages like Chaureet, Treshing, Rupal village have some scenery out of this world. its an experience which can't be described in words.
Well for this trek you start from Treshing village. here you can get all the gear needed for this trek. guide and porters are available there which charge you on per camp basis. trek is not that difficult but you have to cross couple of glaciers. locals call it a 2 to 3 hour trek to Heli Kafir base camp but it takes 4 to 5 hours for people like me who don't do exercise/walk on daily basis. beautiful Marmoot (rabbit like animal) is found here. at Heli Kafir base camp you can see the giant (Nanga parbat) standing infront of you like a wall. from Heli Kafir base camp one can complete a loop trek around this mountain by passing through Mazeno pass which is almost 4 days trek. but difficulty level of Mazeno pass is high and needs Ice axes and ropes to cross it. not recommended for the beginners. you can go easily upto Latobi village from Herley Offer base camp which is a further one day trek. but after reaching Latobi one gets the fruit of all his efforts; a very scenic place.

As per discussion uptill now some respected members(including @imranbhatti and @bilalzubairy) want to see Shandooor polo festival. Respected Dr. Omar khan sahib want his Off-Road machine roaring and exploring Deosai Plains. Respected @lovebike want to make a loop trek around Chilam Chauki. Morover law and order situation in Malakand and Dir is not satisfactory.

So keeping in mind all these factors and after confirming the final date of Shandoor festival plan could be that members should make departure from their places and unite inform of group in Rawalpindi/Islamabad four days before the festival date. Lets suppose festival is on 7th july, then plan could be:
    3rd july:Lahore to Rawalpindi
4th july:Rawalpnidi to Besham/Chilas (Besham can easily be touched in one day and if you put an extra effort and time you can make it to Chilas)
    5th july:reach Gopis/Phunder and camp on Khalti Lake/Phunder Lake
6th july:reach Shandoor by evening and camp there
7th july: See polo match and nightstay at camp
8th july: Departure from Shandoor and reach Gilgit
9th july:Giligit to Thalechi on KKH and leave KKH and take Astore Road and reach Astore. Stay at Kamran hotel Astore or PTDC motel Rama Lake
10th july:Visit Rama Lake and move to Tarshing. night stay at Nanga Parbat Hotel or Rupal hotel at Tarshing
11th july:take guide and porters from Tarshing and trekk to Nanga Parbat Rupal face:Herley Offer base camp(locals call it Heli Kafir base camp)
if you want to spend two days you can camp at Heli Kafir base camp and next day do trek to Latobi Village otherwise Tarshing to Heli Kafir and back is almost 8 hour trek and doable in oneday
    12th july:Tarshing to Chilam Chauki
Almost 4/5 days needed to make loop trek starting and ending at Chilam Chauki.
17th July:Chilam to Skardu crossing Deosai and sightseeing Sadpara Lake on the way and night stay Skardu.
One can go back from Skardu to RWP via KKH or if have spare time can visit the places around like Shigar Valley, Khaplu, Upper Kachura Lake and Lower Kachura Lake(Shangrila)

This plan is little lengthy but comprehensive. Rembers having time constraints can join/depart at Gilgit on wayback from Shandoor. or one can also goback after visiting Rupal face of Nanga parbat.

If you ask to me i am more tilt towards plan 3 given by Dr. sahib but i suggested an alternative plan which is flexible and fulfills most of the requirements given by the respected members and scenic too. Cheers
Nice to see you here Brother.......
Very nice plan.......Is there any place/opportunity for me to use any jeep with minimum tracking....
All the places you mentioned in your post are worth seeing.....but its a little lengthy and most of our respected members will not be able to spend so many days...I am afraid....
Can we modify it a little...cutting some days and missing minimum....
BTW....I think we have to go through "Bajor " in order to Reach "Deer"....am I right? or is there any other way?

You and your 4x4 would be most welcome Sardar sahib. We dont have to cross Bajaur on our way to Dir, so dont worry.
