    At the bottom of the image, you can see the remains of KKH passing through that area, which is mostly now under water... thus making life of people living on the other side of the lake pretty difficult and also that lake making many people homeless and jobless...

    So, that beauty come with a great cost...

    A scene from the movie Lords Of The Rings... just kidding another view of Passu Cathedral

    That mountain has such a magical attraction that i took almost 100 photos of it... as after every 15 mins it had a different view and beauty... ultimately had to filter out many pics because of camera's memory...

    @bilalzubairy

    How much time did it take for you to cross from one side of the lake to the other?And are there only two points, one on each side of lake from where the boats go from one side to the other?

    @doctor

    There are few stops in between the 2 endpoints of the lake and yes at each end there is only 1 point form where the boats leave... it's just like the local van system (2 end points and many intermediate stops... )

    It took us almost 1H 45M to around 2H to cross the lake from one end to the other...

    And yes Gulmit is almost the 2nd last stop in the route... and is now totally cut off from other villages because of water at 3 sides and mountain at the 4th side... totally isolated...

    What is the depth of the lake and i read in a newspaper that the lake is about to blow its bank in any time due to increasing level. In this case, imagine the damage caused by the lack?

    It was told that it's depth is around 100-150 feet... and yup if the spillway collaps then everything in between hunza and tarbela dam will be washed away... but tarbela will accommodate that water...

    If it happens abruptly (Khuda nakhawsta) it will harm the bridges and some of low lying areas..

    No major areas will be affected like Hunza, Nagar, Gilgit etc. The river gorges are deep in these areas and rivers can handle much much waters. Even flood 2010 in rivers didn't affected anything. Only flood from torrents and nullahs destroyed much...
