Default trip to shugran after eid

    Salam friends.
I am looking to travel to shugran after eid around 12th of september on my cg125 with my friend.
i want to know a few things:
    1. what would be the approximate distance of shugran from lahore?
    2. weather in mid September?
    3. what would be the room rates at that time? will they be high or very low?
    4. will there be much crowd at that time or will it be very quiet?
    5. can someone make me a 2 or 3 day plan for shugran and places around it? i will be travelling from lahore via GT road and want to spend around 2 or 3 days there. Also my budget is quite small, only rs. 5000-6000. so can i have a 2 to 3 days trip in this budget as i will not be camping and looking to stay in hotels/rest-houses instead? i would really appreciate if someone can make a detailed plan for my trip.
I look forward to all your replies dear brothers

Dear friends. I have made a somewhat final plan for my trip.
    It is as follows.

Day 1: Leave from Lahore GT road at around 12am at night and reach Shugran by evening (with little rests along the way).
    Night stay at Shugran.

Day 2: Leave early morning from Shugran at around 6am or 7am to visit lake Saif-al-malook. And then come back to kewai and visit Siri and Paye. Then come back to Shugran.
    Night stay at Shugran.

Day 3: Leave early morning from Shugran at around 6am or 7am and go to Abbottabad for breakfast. Then go to Thandiani. After that take the road to Nathia Gali and go on to Murree.
    Night stay at Murree.

Day 4: Leave Murree after breakfast at around 9 am and inshallah via GT road reach Lahore by evening.

I am keeping rs.4000 for fuel and rs.3000 for hotel stay (rs.1000 per night stay) -----> do you think this will be enough for hotel and fuel?

Brothers what are your views on my plan.
    Is it feasible?
Do i have enough time and budget to carry on with my plan?

Kindly comment and give suggestions. I look forward to all of your valuable inputs.

There is nothing that is not feasible but I think that the the plan you have currently will leave you all weary and tired up and you might not be able to enjoy your tour fully. I think after biking from Lahore to Shugran all the way you'll be really tired and I think you should include one complete day for rest.Or either you can skip the saif-ul-malook part of the trip. (cos that'll be simply too hectic).
I have just recently been to Shugran ; hotel rents are very reasonable . Although its not as serene and tranquil a place as it used to be a few years back . There were people around.(And I kinda hate that)
I think you should also carry some extra cash with you just as a precautionary measure !
Good Luck with the trip !

P.S---> I think its kinda risky trying to take your bike to shugran . I'd suggest leaving it in Kiwai .(If you can trust someone with it)

@Jungli_decent is right. Biking on GT Road or upto Mansehra is not recommended. Heavy traffic load.

Also you shouldnt drive in night. If you got a problem in your bike, you will find nothing for its repair. Also keep with you extra tubes and a air pump.

Its better you book your bike upto Mansehra/Balakot. Abdullah Travels daily operates times in night, at 10,11 and 12pm Lahore to Mansehra. Bike can be loaded in the diggie. I think bike charges will be somewhere 700/-, loading and offloading is just Rs. 20/-.

This will save time, tiredness and also good for safety.

    do like this:

    day 1
    lahore to shugran

    day 2

siri paye and return to Naran nite at naran

    day 3

saifulmalook and then to abottabad. thandiani etc.
    nite stay at natiagali.

leave muree out its not a place to go (that is my personal opinion).

    this shud be much better.

Sohaib93 brother i think it will be ok to take bike to shugran. Many people have taken. Risk to puray journey mein bhi rehta hai. But thanks for your concern

    Day-1
Start biking from Mansehra and go Naran and visit Jheel Saif ul Malook.
Night stay at Naran (or try to reach farther Batakundi, Burawai or Jalkhad) Ahead Naran/Jalkhad go only in day light.

    Day-2
Naran to Babusar Pass (4 hours with stays)
    Babusar to Naran (4 hours)
Naran-Kaghan (one hour) or try to reach farther back....

    Day-3
    Kaghan to Kewai 1 hours
    Shogran (one hour)
    Siri Paya and back

    Drive to Balakot

    Drive back to Mansehra...

Note:- If you have to drop any area due to time constraint, drop shogran siri paya. But don't drop the Babusar....

    Naran-Jalkhad 2 hours with stays
Jalkhad-Babusar top via Lulu sar with stop = 2 hours...

You going with one bike and two persons....

Then keep luggage as low as you can. Only two pair clothing, one is wear, one in bag. take cotton trousers, so that you can even sleep with them....

chek out this pic of that trek. the reason for giving pics is that the other person shud know that i am talking from personal experience coz many time ppl just unintentionaly mislead other ppl. like mayb ur uncle heard from some1 and told u....

also lulusar lake on same trip

    @asif

what was the route u took for ansoo jheel ..i believe it was not from jheel saif al malook, cuz we were around 15 friends in july2010, took the track from jheel saif al malook and was not able to make it...i believe it was the trek from mahandri. which i heard is much easier than the one we took, seriously, it started to rain with hailstorm on our track, and we had to return back , i think jheel was just 30 mins away, we could see malka parbat just infront of us...but on the way back. i learnt that man is nothing in front of the power of nature..we are mere creatures when nature strikes no body can get away from it, on the way back , it was the matter of life and death seriously..i slipped twice or thrice and had my heart in my mouths a couple of times...will tell the entire tale with pics in another thread too...
