I can talk about Islamabad to Lahore part of your Journey only. Travel through Rawalpindi as the Islamabad Highway is very crowded by Heavy Vehicles unless you choose a time early in the morning around 4-5. From Isb to Gujrat is quite pleasant. If you take Gujrat bypass and then Gujranwala Bypass then your journey would significantly prolong. I recommend you going through cities and take plenty of breaks after every 40kms or so. Be careful, and do not ride above 50km/h through cities. This part of Journey will take at least 5.5-7 hours depending on number of stops and breaks. A bike is not a car so if you take safety into consideration leave the above recommended time for this part alone. I did this thrice during 2010 but ended up in a crash(during 4th) with a fractured arm due to someone's else fault.
Be careful and ignore riding if possible. You can load your bike on top of some intercity buses and you will find plenty of threads about that.

thanks a lot for this valuable info.....

So you think Islamabad Highway is more crowded with heavy traffic?? i have seen mostly GT Road in pindi blocked by lot of heavy traffic... Anyway i will be leaving early so Islamabad Highway it is for me.....

ISL to Gujrat is pleasant.... what about Gujrat to Lahore???? Its not so pleasant in what way???

As far as safety goes.... all one can do is careful and responsible riding..... and if still i am gonna meet an accident then that can be anywhere... be it local or on GT road...

I think in one day it is not possible such a long journey. I did a faisalabad-lahore-faisalabad trip twice on my bike. No doubt it is adventurous but the tiredness also kills you

Asad jamal @master100 came to me from lahore and he went bhakkar on his way back.
he went to Rawat and then chakwal talagang mianwali and then took mm road and went to bhakhar. by using mm road you can also go . he reached bhakar in 9 hours at his gs150.
consult him for the best route. and also contact us if you are up for a meet.
    legend will revive soon

    Hmmm....
Through Rawat, Chakwal, Talagang, Mianwali, Multan to Bahawalpur is 70Km shorter as per Google Maps....
or only 40Km shorter if i take Khanewal to Lodhran....

@OP After Gujrat it gets over populated and no one cares about traffic rules....it becomes like a sabzi mandi.

This trip was done in Dec 2012, and because of cold winters, i obviously couldn't leave at 40 am in the morning. And if i wanted to do it in one day, then i had to leave at 40 am , otherwise it wasn't be possible. So i decided to break the journey into 2 segments this time. Thought of doing Islamabad to Faisalabad in one day, and then Faisalabad to Bahawalpur in 2nd day. This way , i could travel in bright sunlight throughout my Journey.
    Decided route was following

Left from Islamabad at around 9:15 am. Sky was clear, sun was bright, very comfortable weather for riding in winter.
Took the Islamabad Express to get on GT Road.
