Mates, here are pics of my RP's Plug. I took these pics right after the last tour on reaching back home (1027Km). Please suggest me what is its reading. It looks just like rusted iron, I mean in color and touch. @vickytulla , @Silver_Knife

May be it falls a little in High speed glazing, try installing the Plug used by SilverKnife, it do not over heats and works superb on high revs... your bike is in its youngest most age and healthy horse... use the below chart to learn more.

As per me its perfect. Your bike is consuming less fuel. However plug will have short life span.

    Install a good plug

@vickytulla, if I follow the chart, it falls within High Speed Glazing as you told. The Center Electrode, Side Electrode and Insulator, all three are with the same color (rusted color). This condition raised when I changed the mixture settings before the tour. Previously, it was all black and when I installed new NGK, right after the start, I opened and checked again (after a few 20-30 seconds and parked idle), it came as balck as the previous was. I unscrewed the mixture screw, one round and then checked again, it was totally unchanged[EDIT: with unchanged, I mean, I cleaned it like original and it stayed in same clean state]. Even it was same after 2 days. I thought I set it too lean, so I screwed it back one round. After that onwards, I am getting it like this [where as it should be black because I reset it to original setting]. Is it just because of overheating OR mixture needs to be adjusted? @Silver_Knife, which one you are using? Iridium?

Thanks bro, but it is strange for me, that even I moved it back to original settings, even then, now no carbon deposits but this heat issue
btw there was an edit to my last post "[EDIT: with unchanged, I mean, I cleaned it like original and it stayed in same clean state]"

there can be multiple reasons of over heating, if one is running humbly and bike over heats and loses power then its a matter of concern if the performance stays stable bt you get reddish plug that may be due to fuel Quality (remmeber we use Prmuim or regualer Type which is itself Reddish may be that is the reason), some time Plug quality also matters...

also Bike can also heat up if redlined too much ... which is not probably ur case lastly it can also heat up if there is problem with Ignition which is sure not a concern for you again.

Thanks again I plugged old one ( in clean state ) and will ask you again in few days with pictures of that. I am not running at top speeds with that. so I hope that will help to rectify it. Yes for the last one, I think, running @ 90-100 from Rawalpindi to Sialkot and also while towards Pir Chanassi at top speeds would be the reason.

Thanks again for your expert views

Its way to much orangish. You bike is running on low fuel and due to high speed there's so much glazing. Thats why i said plug will have short life.

For long journeys (Continous combustion) titanium plugs are recommended as they are built for high temps and wont short easily.

Plus dont forget those high altitudes and immense climbing towards peer chinasi so the bike was pushing hard thats why plug is almost red.

In order to check settings best is to clean plug, install it and ride it with pillion. Then check plug

Brother, interesting discussion put some questions in my mind that how much kilometers in one ride could be the long distance and what effect would be on the plug in the city traffic specially in summer season. As you mentioned that a Titanium plug is better than a normal we use in our bikes, then please help us by giving us the idea of the make and origin as well as the price of a titanium plug. Brothers Waqar & Silver_knife, you both are amazing persons and I personally have learnt a lot from both of you.
