Planning to visit Swat Valley till Kalam and forward if possible.
On weekend from Peshawar.
Me and my friend Molvi Zabardast on my Honda Delux CG 125
expected dates are August 15 -16-17. if no rains on the way.
Mission Accomplished Visited Swat Valley on the same dates till Kalam. I will share the details as soon as possible.
This picture is again taken on the iron bridge. I tried but could not locate Hotel Muslim Palace. The river is cold and muddy. Signs of rain which washed soil in the river. It also seems a little raised. My memory starts rolling back.
3 rides. Latest of which is 96 Honda CD 70.
Amazingly the other two were Yamaha 1981 model & Yamaha 1979 model.
But we had junoon to move ahead. Let me share some pics from past.
the hotels of madyan were deserted. We had a movie camera and a still camera in which 36 pics roll was pasted.
A tyre puncture short of Madyan forced us to halt at the station.
While sitting on the front balcony of Hotel Muslim Palace. The owner Amir Noshad was a good man. We bargained a room for Rs 200. He saw us and gave 2 rooms. The hotel was empty and so were the other hotels in the area.
The only other person who came after us was an American Hippy.
We had some chit chat with him also.
Tired and worn out after a long journey. Imran in left corner, atif then me & Kashif
and behind the camera Mr President Ali Amir
Coming Back to Future again.
This time i also explored the Bahrain Market while staying there. There was not much to buy. 10 years back they had good shawls, replica of ancient items, jeweley of various kinds and the most important stones of many kinds. I asked many people who were in the same shops where had all the stuff gone but they declined and said. there was nothing of hat sort over there, but i know it existed. I have a very detailed movie of what was available in Bahrain Market. I had bought some of the items for my sis & mother then. But now for my wife, nothing.
After crossing the Madyan Bridge our real test started. It had rained a couple of hours ago. The sky ahead seemed over cast but we said to our self, its a matter of time the weather is moving away and will get cleared in some time. Upon this thinking Ghalib Chacha once said
Beta "Dil ke Behlaney ko Ghalib ye Khayal Acha hai"
The road to Kalam starting from Madyan stared misbehaving with us. The weather above threatened us, scolded us, hamen murgha banaya, made us to regret coming here at this time. But it could not defeat the Keera in us.
