Default Youngi's Adventures: The Echoing Green (AJK)

Youngi's Adventures: The Echoing Green (AJK) - nWMaXe0

    Asslam-o-Alaikum:

I have never used the word "Adventure" in any of my trips despite of being into touring from last 4 years and have covered almost every location of Pakistan on my bike with an exception of North. But this trip was truly a masterpiece when it comes to adventure.

Faced flat tyre, shivering cold breeze, heavy rain, hailstorm, running bike over camelion, racing with horses, broken rear shoe in drum, slipped chain, sleeping in truck wala hotel with insanely poor hygenie, insanely long heard of sheep's occupying road, eating canned food, having chai infront of indian occupied kashmir, witnessed a fellow jeep accident, group politics and what not you name it and we faced it.

But indeed Kashmir's beauty is so enchanting it overcome all the hurdles. It was a complete adventure to visit the undisturbed beauty of beautiful Pakistan.

We were three bikers from different regions and localities but pooled in our ideas and effort through pakwheels platform.

    1. Imran Afzal from Lahore (Atlas Honda Pridor 100)
    2. Muhammad Imran from Sialkot (Ravi Piaggio 125)
    3. Sikander Akram from Islamabad (Ravi Piaggio 125)

    Preface:

It was decided that we will leave at 3rd morning of eid and return by next Monday in anycase. As Imran Afzal bhai has some important project ongoing for which he had to report in any case. We planned to do camping so we distributed stuff and duties in-time to avoid any confusion.

    1. Imran Afzal is responsible for bringing cooking posts, utensils, pans and stove
    2. Muhammad Imran is responsible for bringing all the stuff like canned food, cleaning stuff, puncture kit and tool kit
    3. I was responsible for arranging camps and camping related stuff

Every detail will be shared stepwise so that it wont ruin the taste of keeping interest in whole story expense details will be shared at the end of the thread as well

Locations Covered: Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Kundal Shahi, Shardah, Keel --> Taobat

Day 1 = Lahore to Islamabad
    Day 2 = Islamabad to
    Kundalshahi
    Day 3 = Kundalshahi to
    Keel
    Day 4 = Keel to
    Phulwai
    Day 5 = Phulwai to
    Taobat and back to Keel
    Day 6 = Keel to
    Shardah and Shardah to Islamabad

So here's a small intro of bikers riding to devour the mesmerizing and enchanting beauty of Echoing Green i.e Kashmir (Neelum Valley)

    Full gang with loaded stuff

I wasnt riding pridor but being a observer in whole tour, Pridor did performed equally good on rough tracks and while going uphill, however on highway it had problem catching up with our bikes.

The only problem imran bhai faced was rear tyre being not to much grippy and he had intensions of changing it after trip

The only place where you can throttle in whole trip was from Kohala till Muzaffarabad. Anyways full throttle is always dangerous

I remember the day (4 month back) when I start a thread for ask people about performance of continuously cruising @90+ Kmph speed, but now I am satisfied because Pridor perform above from my expectations.
In this Trip on GT road I touch 105 speed which is first time in last 5 months.
    Comparison with 125cc (piaggio)
Highway: Pridor top speed is 95 whereas Piaggio touch 105 so when @Silver_Knife and @mma racing with Full throttle then I am behind then but it just a matter of some seconds or 2 3 minutes.
    Bad Road: Equally good
Up hills: I noticed Piaggio is not good in 1st and 2nd gear on steep height, the power should be more than Pridor but my Pridor performance in 1st and 2nd Gear is exceptionally good
Braking: Braking is very good in this trip and it never disappoint me

    Problems:
I only face tyre grip problem on wet and muddy surface, my bike is only 4000 Km driven with stock tyre. People are not satisfied with Pridor Stock tyres they said it worst tyre.
Specially SHARDA to KEL road in raining when road is full of mud.

Note: In these areas minimum recommended tyre size is 90/90 so I am 2 step behind the requirement of this
    2.75 ? 18 (is my stock tyre)
    3.0 ? 18 (I am planning to upgrade)
90/90 ? 18 (Honda Delux Stock tyre which is recommended)
    100/90 ? 18 (My fellows Tyres)

I only face difficulty in 15 km area in whole trip (1300), that was due to extremely slippery road, (SHarda to KEL, due to heavy rain). my bike is Punchar 2 time in a distance of 10 km just because of a small (hair sized) pin coz local man is unable to find that pin and due to this Bike punchar 2 times, but after proper fix its ready for next 600 km, KEL to Lahore No problem

As we were hungry so found a nice spot to have a lunch, we were carrying canned food the reason is purely to avoid eating at restaurants to minimize chances of any infection

First we crossed this spot then @ManMachineAdventure turned back to finally reach this spot
